Numbness in Fingers

Numbness in FingersFinger numbness is a common symptom of carpal tunnel syndrome. Carpal tunnel syndrome is caused by compression of the median nerve in the wrist. The median nerve runs from the forearm through the carpal tunnel in the wrist and supplies sensation to parts of the hand, thumb, and index finger. The carpal tunnel is a narrow passageway that runs through a bone in the wrist called the carpal bone. The median nerve passes through this passageway on its way to these fingers.
