Energy Supply Chain Crisis

Energy Supply Chain CrisisThe Energy Supply Chain is a complex system of interconnected parts that are used to create and deliver energy to consumers. It consists of upstream energy sources, the production process, downstream energy users, and the distribution of final products. The Energy Supply Chain begins with the exploration process where companies find out how much oil or gas is available in an area. Once they have found a viable source, they develop it into a well through drilling and extracting techniques. The extraction process includes gathering the oil or gas from the well into pipes and then transporting it to refineries by pipeline or tanker trucks. Once at the refinery, oil or gas is processed into different types of fuels such as gasoline for cars or jet fuel for airplanes.
