Farmageddon The meat industry is still a major player in the global economy. It is estimated that the meat industry generates $1.2 trillion annually and that it employs more than 1 million people. Farmageddon is a satirical blog that has made a name for itself with its tongue-in-cheek commentary on farming and food production practices in the United States. It's run by two college friends, who are both vegan and vegetarian, who claim to write satire to make people think about their food choices and how they can make better ones for animals, the environment, and themselves. One of their most famous pieces is entitled "The Future of Meat." In this piece, they imagine what life would be like if we were all vegetarians or vegans instead of eating meat today.
